I am the sand beneath your feet,
Here forever yet newly discovered by you…
I am the sun and the sea…
When the lovers pause and kiss, a lovers’ embrace,
Fingers entwined
They will feel my heat
I am the burning sun
I am the fish scurrying for life.
Fearing the mouth of the whale
I am the waves kissing your thighs,
I am the shell long discarded,
Bleached by the sun and crushed by life
I am your night’s moon
Your blanket when you are cold
And your water when you thirst.
